The Joker is mild in lame ‘Squad’

When compared to Batman V Superman, I’ll say that Suicide Squad had enough of a tiny hint of charm that it deserves to be revisited. Amanda Waller – played by Viola “I Can’t Believe Ender’s Game Isn’t Going To Be The Worst Thing On My IMDb Page” Davis – hosts a dinner for three and explains to a couple of forgettable military guys that these are risky superpowered rogues who buck authority on principle, but this time with a Waller-narrated flashback for each that details their capture. If they fail, they’ll take all the blame. Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Karen Fukuhara play other supervillains, most of whom have little to do. Leading this team is Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman, “The Killing”), a soldier beholden to Waller and in love with June Moone.

As Harley pretends to switch sides in order to get close to the Enchantress, she’s offered a chance to be reunited with the Joker.

Fans can check out the recorded video below from 6:22 as Collider’s Kristian Harloff and the rest debate the possibilities of these fictional characters in “Batman” movie. Jared Leto has already expressed his absolute disappointment over his deleted scenes.

Before they mount their final attack, the witch gives the not-very-suicidal squad hallucinatory visions of their lives as non-super villains.

Despite her slams against Leto, Bellamar took to Facebook to earlier this week to lament his many deleted scenes in the film.

“What happens if the next Superman becomes a terrorist?” asks USA intelligence officer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). At the moment there are two mystery films in the lineup. In case you didn’t get it, at one point there’s even the sound of a cat’s yowl!

Oh, cool! [whispers] It would have been cool to actually see that in the movie, too!

The movie shines when it strives to be different. So we turn to the “bad guys”, the ones locked up in the highest security prison full of actors purportedly playing against type. She would be established enough, have had enough growth, to go forward and headline future DC properties, whether that’s as a villain or a sparky antihero.

Even though Leto’s rep denied he acted inappropriately, he talked about crossing the boundary with his co-stars. There are rumors that more female DC characters will be introduced in the film. That, or he should have been the main villain, instead of Enchantress, who has the same plan as nearly every other super villain these days; to shoot a giant laser into the sky and destroy the world for no real reason. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” ended up becoming a frontloaded blockbuster, so time will still tell just how “Suicide Squad” might affect the potential of the DCEU. In fact, many of Leto’s scenes didn’t make it to the silver screen. Luckily, though, the ones that did get a lot of screen time really made an impact. The plot of this film is, quite honestly, bad; how the team are assembled by Viola Davis” Amanda Waller crucially skips a great deal of interesting backstory that nominal Batman films of old especially would have allowed us to unfurl, yet Ayer casts them off as throwaway so he can put “Taskforce X’ into play as, at first, a reactionary standby force in case one day an evil Superman drops out of the sky, and then a very much needed immediate group of misfits to battle Cara Delevingne’s Enchantress.
