The Judge Lays Down The Law On Hillary Clinton
Sen. John Cornyn formally asked the Justice Department to explain why it did not accept the recommendation of the FBI to investigate the Clinton Foundation.

If the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been investigating the Clinton Foundation since they have been working on the other email scandal, then we might here something before the election.
A CNN investigation found that Clinton aide Cheryl Mills was involved in the Clinton Foundation while she was also employed as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State. But this is still an absurd new low as the State Department is forced to defend Hillary by basically calling calling her a weasel, as John Sexton at HotAir notes.
Now CNN has learned on a potential reason why.
[Image via Fox News] To many voters, the Clintonian behavior begs closer scrutiny. “All federal employees are subject to federal ethics laws and regulations including rules pertaining to conflicts of interest”.
The vague response raises more questions that are just not being answered.
Scott Amey, who works for the watchdog group Project on Government Oversight, insisted Congress and and the Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee have a right to know what Mills was doing when she was in NY in 2012. Gilbert Chagoury who had made donations ranging from 1 to $ 5 million to the Clinton Foundation and then wanted to interview the former ambassador of the United States to Lebanon who had recently become in charge of the Middle East at the State department. “When you have a breakdown in that system, we have a breakdown in our democracy”, Scott Arney, Project on Government Oversight, said.
It’s easy to understand why Mills was trusted with helping find the next director of the Clinton Foundation. “It enabled [Hillary Clinton] to reach people quickly and keep in regular touch with her family and friends more easily given her travel schedule”.
As Bill Clinton’s deputy White House counsel, she defended the then president during impeachment proceedings.
On Friday, the Big Three and Spanish broadcast networks’ evening newscasts all reported on Hillary Clinton releasing her joint tax returns with her husband, Bill, and how much they gave to charity. Clinton Foundation donors gaining special access to the State Department while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State would look even worse.
DONALD TRUMP, (R), PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE (from Hillary Clinton campaign video): But if you didn’t see the tax returns, you’d think there’s nearly, like, something wrong – what’s wrong? You look at that foundation.
Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee have jumped on the news, saying it is evidence of “pay for play”.
Mills’ attorney says her client was simply doing “volunteer work for a charitable foundation”.
The FBI’s investigative efforts are reportedly focused on New York City, where the Clinton Foundation has its headquarters, and is being led by Preet Bharara, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York.

But CNN’s own reporting debunks these claims, explaining that Mills was not a paid employee at the Clinton Foundation and the State Department permitted employees to engage in outside volunteer activities while on personal time.
