The Koenigsegg Agera RS Naraya Is Gold Leaf-Trimmed Supercar Excellence
Deliveries of the hardcore hypercar are beginning – the first one appeared in U.S. spec at Monterey Car Week earlier this month, although this one will be the first Agera RS to be united with a European owner. The owner’s identity is being kept a secret though what has come to be known is that the name “Naraya” rhymes with their family in some way; and hence their latest prized acquisition too comes to be known such.

They say money can’t buy taste, but it can buy a Koenigsegg Agera RS customized to your liking even if that liking is lots of gaudy gold leaf everywhere. Inside the auto has blue Alcantara with gold piping and stitching. Then, there is gold.
Christian von Koenigsegg and the boys in the shed entrusted all the gold leaf work to Ettore “Blaster” Callegaro, an Italian expert in the art of applying gold leaf to cars and motorbikes, who travelled to Koenigsegg’s Angelholm site in Sweden to spend a fortnight carefully applying the gold leaf.
The gold leaf is then finished with multiple coats of clear, along with the rest of the body, to protect it from scratching. First up, you’ll spot the clear blue carbon finish across the Agera RS’s flanks, and carried over to the carbon fibre tub too – the first time a Koenigsegg tub has matched the colour of the exterior.
And it’s here where things get interesting – monster twin-turbo V8 engine aside, of course.
The whole process took 2 full weeks, working 12-hour days, 6 days per week.
Inside, there’s blue alcantara with gold piping and stitching, more gold leaf highlights and an 18-carat gold “Naraya” nameplate with 155 diamonds created by Ada Diamonds in California.

The first U.S. customer auto made its debut at Pebble this month, and now it’s the turn of the first European Agera RS to make its debut at this week’s Salon Prive at Blenheim Palace. A One:1 – which recently set a VMax200 speed record at Bruntingthorpe – and the last ever Agera R.
