‘The Last Guardian’ may make TGS 2015 appearance

And now, despite the PlayStation 4 exclusive not being on Sony’s list of confirmed titles for the Tokyo Game Show, it looks like we can expect something special from the developers.

Makuhari is the location of TGS, while Trico is the name of the games’ giant bird/dog creature.

We could be seeing some more of The Last Guardian very soon. Nonetheless, with the director’s track record in mind, it’s safe to say that The Last Guardian ought to impress fans and critics alike once it finally releases. The short glimpses shown during the debut trailer prove that the follow-up will feel more at home on new-gen hardware, with the scale of the sequel clearly dramatically increased.

Of course, those that follow the Japanese industry closely will know that it’s bizarro world to the West, with the Vita trundling along nicely while the PS4 struggles to get a foothold. While the details are slim, it’s possible that The Last Guardian might have a showing at the Tokyo Game Show 2015. It’s for both PS4 and PC, and surprisingly, it’s priced at £25 – we honestly figured it would be a free-to-play game with microtransactions.

This is a toss-up. Not only is the game have a visual upgrade, but it includes some new story content. It will be coming out in Japan in January 21, 2016. In addition, aside from the company’s TGS appearance, Sony is also scheduled to hold its own press conference on September 15, two days before the TGS formally kicks off.

In addition to that, there’s the possibility for new reveals from third-party partners like Square Enix, Capcom, Konami, Atlus, and others – really, anything above is fair game for the PlayStation event.
