TNT originally scheduled the premiere airing of The Last Ship Season 3 on June 12, 2016 but was later on postponed.
“After the shootings in Orlando, tonight’s season premiere of “The Last Ship” is postponed”, the network relayed in a statement issued on Sunday.
The first scene of “The Last Ship’s” third season features gunmen entering a Vietnamese nightclub, so instead of premiering the first episode of “The Last Ship” season three, TNT aired the last two episode of the show’s second season. The massacre has been called the largest mass shooting in the history of the United States of America. On CBS, the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday night was dedicated to the victims.
The Last Ship’s premiere was set to release two episodes entitled “The Scott Effect” and “Rising Sun” respectively. “Our hearts are with the victims and their families”, the cable network tweeted. He closed his speech with the words, “We will be with you every step of the way”.
