The Latest Target in the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal – Colin Powell

The New York Times reported that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had told FBI investigators in early July that it was Powell who suggested she use her personal email account during her tenure as secretary of state.

Clinton has denied those allegations but says it was a mistake on her part to use a personal email.

Why does the former diplomat believe this to be the case?

The former Secretary of State under President George W. Bush suggested that Clinton was using private email long before he communicated with her about the subject.

The New York Times reported last week that Mrs Clinton, when questioned by the FBI, told investigators that she had received the advice from her predecessor.

This discrepancy further proves Hillary Clinton has not only been lying to the American people about her email servers, where she stored and transmitted top-secret classified information, but she lied to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about it too.

Perjury is very hard to prove, but one thing has been clear for months now: Hillary Clinton can’t keep her story straight. He used an AOL account while Clinton paid a State Department employee under the table to manage her email system, which involved a personal account and a private server.

The claims are also being made in an upcoming book by journalist Joe Conason, “Man of the World: The Further Endeavors of Bill Clinton”, in which he details a 2009 dinner party attended by Powell as well as other former secretaries of state Condoleezza Rice, Henry Kissinger, and Madeleine Albright. Cordes quoted Powell: “Her people have been trying to pin it on me”.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus hoped on the news as well as Powell’s comments, saying, Clinton “seems incapable of telling the truth”. Clinton did send at least a few messages that included classified information over the server, and her explanations for this have been somewhat muddled. “Plus the rules governing electronic communication got more strict during Powell’s time in office and Clinton’s”.
