People really are the worst.
Looks like Kristian Nairn – who played Hodor on Game of Thrones – isn’t quite over his devastating final scene in the HBO drama.
In a video interview for the show, Wright elaborated, saying Hodor’s death was “mortifying” and “so sad”. The ending of “Game of Thrones” season 6 episode 5 was completely left open.

They actually weren’t apologizing for killing Hodor, and instead were apologizing for how they have forever ruined the phrase “hold the door”.
We get it, you watch Game of Thrones.
Well that is not the apology we wanted, but it sure did make us laugh a little after losing another beloved character. It just seems like a foregone conclusion to us, given the nature of this show, that Benioff and Weiss will do something else shocking.
However, they clarified that they are not sorry for killing Hodor as they are used to killing a lot of main characters. Weiss, are used to traumatizing their viewers – but they don’t often apologize for it. In a featurette for “The Door”, David Benioff shared how he and D.B. Weiss found out the truth from George R.R. Martin himself (via GamesRadar). Hodor’s origin story has sparked interest since Bran first caught a glimpse of a young, speaking Hodor named Wyllis in one of his visions of Winterfell from the past.

Well, while we now know the origin (and conclusion) of Hodor, we’re still waiting to learn the limits of Bran’s powers now that he has taken the Three-Eyed Raven’s place.
