The Little Mermaid fans furious over Ariel’s hair colour

Hopefully, she’ll be keeping her tail intact in this updated tale, but it might take a bit for us to get used to this mermaid’s mane going from fiery to flaxen. Moretz recalled the euphoria she felt when she first got the call that she’s been cast as the titular hero, “When I got the call, I rolled the windows down in the auto with my brother and we both screamed!”

E! News caught up with the actress during the 2015 KIIS Jingle Ball this weekend and asked the bubbly blonde about her upcoming starring role in the live-action Disney flick, The Little Mermaid. But it is reportedly still without a director at its helm: Sofia Coppola left the project, as of last summer.

The buzz surrounding Disney’s live action remake of The Little Mermaid has so far been positive.

“I think it’s a plethora of things”. She is set to begin underwater training next month which she expects to be rigorous.

It is very modern indeed since the actress revealed that the film will not be following the classic red-headed Ariel.

Screenwriter Richard Curtis is tasked to work on the film although no release date has been announced yet. I’m excited, I’m nervous. “I’m just excited to show something that I’ve loved for such a long time and in a different modern light”. On a recent red carpet, Moretz also explained to Entertainment Tonight that the new movie will be a “progressive” spin on the Hans Christian Andersen tale.

Surely Chloe Grace Moretzs words are calling a lot of possibilities to mind for anyone who was looking forward to this movie. Some of the guesses for Prince Eric’s role include Zac Efron, Ansel Elgort, Liam Hemsworth, Nicholas Hoult, Taylor Lautner, and even Harry Syles.
