The Many Outfit Changes of Beyonce at the VMAs
Beyonce owned the MTV Video Music Awards by winning video of the year and giving a 16-minute performance featuring her recent hits from “Lemonade”, working various stages with strong, layered vocals, skilled dance moves and even an outfit change – all as the audience watched in awe and cheered her on.

The pop superstar won Video of the Year for Formation, the most outspoken work of her career, as well as Best Female Video for Hold Up. She also performed a medley of hits from Lemonade in an unscheduled, but much-hoped-for live appearance.
“First of all, I’d like to thank my attractive daughter and my incredible husband for all of their support”, said Beyonce, who walked the carpet with daughter Blue Ivy and the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner – who all appeared in “Lemonade” movie.
The rapper didn’t seem too bothered though, as he grinned from ear-to-ear as the Formation singer thanked her family and friends.
Singer Alicia Keys offered another of the night’s powerful moments as she recited a poem she said was inspired by civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr who delivered his landmark “I Have a Dream” speech in Washington 53 years ago Sunday.
Rihanna will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award and kick off the show with a performance.
Beyonce storms Video Music Awards, Rihanna gets lifetime award was posted in Entertainment of TheNews International – https://www.thenews.com.pk on August 29, 2016 and was last updated on August 29, 2016. She danced through fire and smoke, took a baseball bat to a camera and had her dancers end the performance laying on the stage to symbolize the power of women. “It’s my family, my fans, my country …it’s women, it’s black women”, she said. Not only did she lip sync, in typical fashion, she did so badly.
Instead she mechanically went through the rhythms in a low-key duet with rapper G-Eazy, in which they tried to force some chemistry that just wasn’t there.
Nominees for best female video include Beyonce, Adele, Rihanna, Sia and Grande. He talked about his “Famous” video, which features what appear to be naked images of himself, his wife Kim Kardashian, Swift, Donald Trump and others. “I love you”, Beyonce said.
West also pointed out his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose in the crowd after he included a waxwork of her in his controversial video for Famous.
Drake won best hip hop video for “Hotline Bling” and Calvin Harris won best male video for “This is What You Came For“.
