The new email scandal that has rocked the Clinton campaign

HILLARY Clinton says she’ll consult with her husband and Barack Obama on how to be the president. “I think a lot of Bernie delegates are disappointed in him, but he was a safe choice”. “He really scares me”.

Along with our long-standing suggestion that we compare polls by the same media – ABC with ABC, NBC with NBC, ect. – the pre-convention Washington Post / ABC News poll had Clinton leader Trump 47-43 among registered voters.

Gathering for their convention in Philadelphia, Democrats struggled to shake lingering bitterness among supporters of defeated rival Bernie Sanders and dealt with the aftermath of a leadership shakeup at the top.

One in four Sanders voters still aren’t voting for Clinton. Her father, then-state Rep. Billy McKinney, said of her 2002 primary fight that “Jews have bought everybody”.

In contrast, the Democrats’ approach borrows a page from Bill Clinton’s 1992 NY convention that featured average Americans and a video dubbed “The Man from Hope” that reintroduced an elite Yale Law School graduate as a southern boy who grew up poor. Kaine chimed in to say that while Clinton is letting the “water go off her back on this”, that’s not the way he feels.

Senator Tim Kaine, accompanied by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, speaks in Miami. “So I was saddened by it”.

Clinton’s campaign closely guarded the selection process, keeping the names of finalists under wraps to try to maximize the impact of the announcement. “Our country needs to stand up to people who take pleasure in pushing other people around, who incite violence, who mock and degrade people”.

Others plan to talk about the Clinton they know, a woman they describe as brilliant, warm and amusing.

They’ll highlight lesser-known parts of her biography, such as her early work as an activist for children and families, her push to expand federal health insurance to millions of children as first lady and her advocacy for 9/11 first responders as a NY senator.

Her approval ratings have fallen from a high of 65 percent in December 2012, when her tenure at the State Department drew to a close, to below 40 percent this month.

Republicans, though, said Democrats are making a mistake by going so political.

The convention is the campaign’s best chance to reach critical audiences before the November election, said Benenson.

Clinton announced her selection via text message Friday evening.

“The emails, that’s probably the biggest (issue)”.

“Bienvenidos a todos, bienvenidos a todos en nuestro pais, verdad, por que somos americanos, todos”, said Kaine, which translates to: “Welcome to everyone, welcome to everyone in our country, right, because we’re all Americans, all of us”.

“Many people are uncomfortable with this whole FBI thing”, Schreiner said, referring to the bureau’s investigation into Clinton’s email practices. “But if something were to put that in my path, as much as any human being would be ready, I’d be ready”.

But even before it begins, Clinton’s convention is mired in controversy.

“I worked with Republicans”.

So to sum up: Clinton, when asked if she knew about the interference, says she doesn’t know about it-or more specifically, about the emails demonstrating that interference.

The public rendered a split decision on whether the convention made them more or less likely to back Trump, 42% said more likely while 44% said less so, but the shift in voter preferences suggests the “more likely” side carried more weight. Further, 45% continue to say they’d prefer someone other than Trump as the nominee.
