The new solid state home button on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus certainly felt much more durable than previous iPhone home buttons.

But until now, Apple argued that 16GB was sufficient enough storage for some users thanks to services like iCloud and Dropbox, which help users keep their files in far-away servers rather on than their phones. But there are also a bunch of things to consider before you drop $649 tomorrow on pre-order. Besides falling out, they’re not water-resistant at all. The iPhone 7 has innovative hardware that allows the phone to withstand being submerged in up to three feet of water for 30 minutes.
Apple says one of the engineering challenges has been sealing the speaker port, which needs air to work. However, if you want to get yourself an iPhone 7 Plus, getting the 32GB model would cost you only $120, while trading in your existing iPhone and getting a 128GB iPhone 7 will cost you $100.
But mobile tech analyst Carolina Milanesi of the Creative Strategies firm thinks Apple has a bigger goal in mind – to make it easier for consumers to use one set of wireless earpieces with a variety of Apple’s products.
“It’s the best iPhone that we have ever created”, Cook said.
The earphones are meant to give up to five hours of play time before recharging, which occurs in a purpose-designed white wireless docking case.
In that context, the removal of the iPhone’s headphone jack makes ideal sense.
Apple’s recommendation is apparently its iPhone dock, which has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also in the box: an adapter consisting of two plugs connected by a short length of cable, which will connect older headphones to the charging port. Battery life has also been boosted to 2910mAh from 2750mAh. To me, the company seems like little more than a copycat laggard these days, selling a smart phone that has a high price relative to the competition’s.
We already have these iPhone 7 cases on hand and love the look and feel that they offer. Our stats represent really vigorous use, so it could be different with just regular use, but it’s still a stark difference that’s worth noting.

Apple is not giving up on China even though iPhone sales in the world’s most populous economy have lost steam over the past year: China remains in the first batch of countries to release two iPhone 7 flagships, and has been added to the “iPhone Upgrade Program” along with the U.S. and United Kingdom, which aims to encourage consumers to change for a new iPhone handset every year.
