English Premier League club Liverpool finally puts rumours to rest with the appointment of Jurgen Klopp as the Merseyside’s club new manager on Thursday.
The 48-year-old superstar replaces former boss Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked by the Reds on Sunday after being in charge of the club for nearly three and a half years. It’s a special club.
How the people live football in Liverpool and around Liverpool, all Liverpool fans all over the world.
Klopp put in a hugely impressive performance in his first official outing as Liverpool manager on Friday morning, with former Reds defender John Arne Riise claiming he had “never seen a better press conference from a new manager”. His career at Dortmund was a stellar rise to the top and I think he’ll do very well.
“You can not start as a ball possession team, so the first thing in life you need is a stable defence”.
Klopp’s reign begins with a hard trip to Tottenham a week on Saturday, followed by home outings against Rubin Kazan and Southampton in the Europa League and Premier League respectively.
“I am not here today to speak too much about our football”.
“Please give us time to work on it. Please be patient”, said Klopp.
He told LFC-TV that accepting the job after a four-month break was not a hard decision for him. In his first press conference, he said, they are getting “a totally normal guy”.
“This is a really insane discussion because it was not a problem for (even) 10 seconds”, said Klopp. “I’m the normal one”.
“I’m not a dream man; I don’t want to have Cristiano (Ronaldo) or Lionel (Messi) and all these players in one team”.
“Firstly, I would like to offer thanks to the ownership of Liverpool Football Club for showing faith in me and my staff and presenting us with this wonderful opportunity”.
“It is only important we play our own game, let the players feel the confidence and the trust of the people”.
“It is our job now to support Jurgen every step of the way and help him achieve his full potential at this great football club”.

“We can start in a very hard league with opponents that are big and bigger and bigger, but in a special Liverpool way we can be successful”, he explained.
