When Portland police asked to local police about the matter, they replied “their Officers are Unable to Determine Chicken’s Intent”.
Then finally Portland police bureau revealed that officers were dispatched this week to the city’s Linnton district to investigate the scene.
Police also released the audio of the emergency caller to make sure to everyone that the call was not a prank.
A police spokesperson said that officers regularly tend to duck crossings, and have rescued ducklings from storm drains in the past, but this was the first time they had received a serious call about a chicken crossing the road.
