Indonesia is the first country Duterte has visited since he was inaugurated as the Philippine president on June 30. Obama has endorsed Hillary Clinton and has said he plans to campaign full-force for the Democrat before the Nov 8 election.

According to a report by Aljazeera, Duterte has expressed his regrets on saying such dirty words in the conference.

Speaking in Laos at the end of the second of two Asian summits, Obama said the tycoon’s lack of leadership credentials was exposed whenever he spoke and American voters were aware of that. “I am the president of the Philippines, not the republic of the global community”.

Duterte said he also brought up the issue of the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea) but “stressed our commitment to a peaceful settlement of these fields in accordance with global law, including UNCLOS”, referring to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Duterte said he has already discussed the issue with his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo during the Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Summit that concluded on Thursday in Laos.

“I think that any reasonable person. would be puzzled about how this became somehow indicative of the work that we’ve done here”, the president said of the incident, citing economic programs, development, and the promotion of civil society as measures of success in the region.

CLARIFYING the insult that made world headlines, foul-mouthed Philippine President Rodrigo explained to Barack Obama that he never called the US president a “Son of Bitch” earlier this week. The PH leader simply responded with “OK”. This had caused Obama to cancel a formal meeting scheduled for Tuesday. The Philippine National Police (PNP) said that more than 2,000 have been killed. He perfectly had a strike back. In a report made by The Seattle Times, the PH president showed a picture where hundreds of dead Filipino bodies were piled up in a hollow and American soldiers were standing, atop them holding their rifles.

The US and Philippines presidents shook hands at a banquet on Wednesday. This campaign had taken the lives of about a thousand Filipino Moros. The Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila said the president provided an explanation of how human rights records should be assessed in the context of the historical record. “Also gave a statement before, several weeks ago, about the human rights violation”.

Duterte delivered the insult in his native Tagalog tongue, just as he had with the statement about Obama, which he now claims he never made.
