The Pokemon GO European release is underway

Pokemon Go is now the hottest app in the United States, topping both Google Play and Apple App Store’s Top Grossing charts. For Pokémon Go, this means that you can look at the real world via your screen – much like you were taking a picture – and see a virtual character on the ground in front of you.

“Those plans are probably being put in place right now”.

In the augmented reality game, players travel around the real world to capture and train creatures known as Pokemon – the most famous of which is Pikachu. The mobile app has taken us by storm and the momentum isn’t over just yet – so far Pokemon Go is only available in a handful of countries including the U.S., Australia and New Zealand!

Android users are reportedly downloading an APK (Android Application Package) and downloading an alternate version of the game.

The technology comes from Niantic, a company founded by Google and spun off previous year.

“Pokemon GO” is such a huge hit that Hollywood studios are scrambling to get a movie deal out of the hype, Gamespot reported.

“By July 7, the app had been installed on more Android smartphones than the dating app”, Britain-based information technology firm SimilarWeb was quoted as saying. The game recently surpassed dating app Tinder and is closing in on microblogging website Twitter in terms of daily active users.

You no longer need to live in fear and ban playing the game thinking that all your emails are being accessed by the developer. The company behind the game says the iOS app “erroneously requests full access permission for the user’s Google account”. The issue appears to be affecting those who registered for a Pokemon Trainer Club account instead of just signing in with their Google accounts, according to Redmond Pie.
