The PS4 Will Now Cost You $349.99 Dollars To Purchase

Sony is hoping that these price cuts will bring gamers who have yet to purchase to the PS4 fold. Starting tomorrow, shoppers in the US and Canada will be able to pick up a PS4 for $349.99 United States dollars, down $50 from the current price.

Sony is dropping the price of the Playstation 4 just in time for the holidays.

Then, Microsoft boss Phil Spencer predicted that Sony would cut the price of the PS4 in the U.S.

The PS4 will sell for $349 starting October 9, moving it in line with the price of Microsoft’s Xbox One. In Canada, where the price was previously $449.99, a basic PS4 console will now cost you $429.99 CAD. Either way, if the appearance of Destiny on your PS4 has bugged you, you now know what you need to do, to get rid. The Xbox One isn’t as far behind the PS4 as it was at launch in terms of performance, but it’s still a distant second to Sony’s market-leading console.

The Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle and Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle will both be available come November 17.

Yu Okazaki, an analyst at Nomura Securities, said, “This is good news because it shows cutting assembling cost of the console is going smoothly”. Sony is also betting big on cloud gaming (with the $20 per month Playstation Now service) and virtual reality, with the PlayStation VR headset that’s launching next year.

It’s better now to buy a new console than past year as there are many great new games to play now. It’s debatable whether the system actually needed a price cut at this point. That prompted Microsoft to aggressively cut the price of Xbox One to $349 and ditch its motion sensor Kinect as an additional accessory.
