The Rams Are Considering Going After Peyton Manning

If Peyton Manning decides to play another season in the National Football League, will he play for the Los Angeles Rams?

Many believe the game on Sunday is the last for the 39-year-old quarterback after an illustrious career, although he still has a year remaining in his contract with the Broncos.

Peyton Manning’s remarkable career, one that’s put him on the Mount Rushmore of quarterbacks, appears at an end, although all in position to know are carefully avoiding saying so.

If the league’s all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns becomes available, they may give him a legitimate look – if not exclusively because of the on-the-field benefit, perhaps also to help sell the team to fans in their new hometown of Los Angeles by bringing in one of the best players in league history for the Rams’ first season back in L.A. But Wagoner reiterated that the move could hurt them in the long run because Manning is not a long-term solution for the Rams.

The Patriots were 18-0 coming into the Super Bowl, but Giants quarterback Eli Manning converted three third downs, none bigger than on David Tyree’s spectacular catch, when he pinned the ball against his helmet.

It’s extremely unlikely that this will happen, as Manning has given every indication that he will retire after playing in the Super Bowl.

There’s speculation this could be Manning’s last game in the NFL. “… After the season, he’ll think on it and figure out what he wants to do”.
