As for some Mr. Robot spoilers, Mr. Robot Season 2 will feature a few new characters added to the mix: rapper Joey Bada$$ plays Elliot’s new friend Leon, Craig Robinson as one of Elliot’s new allies and Grace Gummer as an FBI agent investigating the Evil Corp hack. It’s easily one of the best shows on TV.

The two-hour episode also featured the brutal death of Gideon Goddard, the owner of Allsafe Cybersecurity and teased fans about Tyrell Wellick’s whereabouts. Mr. Robot invites Elliot to join fsociety as they’re getting ready to execute a hack. The former executive from E Corp was last seen joining forces with fsociety and Eliot but since then nobody has seen them. Daredevil malware hacker Darlene, although not undergoing such a radical transformation as Angela, is fleshed out ― without giving too much away – through her backstory over the season, revealing her ties to Elliot and other characters. Not only tech enthusiasts are hounding on “Mr. Robot”‘s episodes, the show is also tapping unconsciously into regular viewer interests as well. [Rami] Malek continues to be mesmerizing in the role, with [Christian] Slater a fantastic foil for Elliot’s personality. What will be fsociety’s next move? Second, Mr. Robot is not about a robot man. Disappointing. But its first season won critical and audience raves, along with two Golden Globes, a Peabody award and more.
Ever since the explosive revelation last season that the Mr Robot character is a manifestation of Elliot’s dissociative personality disorder, we haven’t been able to take anything for granted as “narrative truth”. And he finally realized the leader of the group, the charismatic and slightly manic Mr. Robot, was actually just an illusion. As season 2 begins, Elliot is trying to escape the hacker lifestyle that led to his myriad mental and physical health problems in season 1.
On Wednesday, as Mr. Robot aired (after leaking it on Sunday) its Season Two premiere, we get to see what the revolution looks like.
It’s unclear why Mr. Robot made an exclusive deal with Amazon Prime, but unfortunately it means Season 2 will not be available on Hulu at all. You have to check it our if you haven’t seen it! We imagine that in her new position, that will become a little more clear … while at the same time the struggle deepens and the story becomes more twisted and complicated.
That places her in what seems like direct opposition to childhood friend Angela (Portia Doubleday), who has been promoted to E Corp’s PR manager and must combat F Society’s menacing of the global conglomerate. Tyrell Wellick murdered his wife in season 1 in hopes he would leave the company, but that obviously didn’t work out. A mysterious group known as Mr. Robot recruits him and his first mission is to hack his day job’s largest client, which is also one of the biggest corporations in the world.

New recurring guest stars include Craig Robinson (The Office), hip hop artist Joey Bada$$, Sandrine Holt (Fear the Walking Dead), Michael Maize (National Treasure: Book of Secrets), Dorothi Fox (Run All Night) and Luke Robertson (The Americans).
