The Rolling Stones To Release New Album In 2016?
Keith Richards had to put his new album on the back burner when the Rolling Stones “came out of hibernation”. He says, “I’m trying to get the Stones into the studio”. Directed by 3-time Grammy nominated director Morgan Neville (“20 Feet From Stardom”, “The Cool School”), the film documents the making of the iconic British rocker’s first solo studio album in 23 years, Crosseyed Heart, which hits shelves in conjunction with its Netflix debut on September 18 via Republic Records/Virgin EMI.

“It’ll probably never happen, but [that’s when] the band is really honed and toned and all the screws are in the right place”, the Stones guitarist says in a just-published interview. “Because, when the Stones work, you know, hey, that’s my numero uno!” The track is the third sample thus far from Crosseyed Heart, following lead single “Trouble” and the recently unlocked “Amnesia”.
“People have said we’re splitting up since every tour from about 1975”, said Richards. “It was a barrel of fun actually”.
“I don’t quite honestly see it happening this year”, he confessed.
Richards revealed that he’s actively working to get the Stones to work on a new studio album – but doesn’t expect anything to start until 2016.

‘After we do South America in February and March (2016), I’d love to get in the studio in April. When they finish a tour, they don’t want to do nothing!’
