Lawson visited with Kings officials and coaches on Saturday in Sacramento and had planned to meet with New Orleans Pelicans officials early this week – until the Kings offered him a deal on Sunday, league sources said.
Lawson, 28, will be joining his third team in a matter of months.
Free agent guard Ty Lawson, with ball, played 13 games for the Pacers last season.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Lawson is entering his eighth National Basketball Association season. In Denver, he was a borderline All-Star level player at times, particularly during the Nuggets’ 57-win 2012-13 season. He averaged 4.9 points and 4.4 assists in 13 regular-season games for in after the deal.

It was only a few years ago that Ty Lawson was one of the most promising up-and-coming point guards in the National Basketball Association. He received a two-game suspension from the National Basketball Association in December.
