Well, Asus has one for you with the ZenPad S 8.0 which has just shown up at Best Buy with a very nice price tag.

There will also be an entry-level Intel ZenPad 8 Z380C that you can pre-ordered from B&H and Adorama for $130. And now you can have them at Best Buy for $199.99 with 8-inch and $99.99 with 7-inch model.

Designed as an on-the-go tablet that could offer a lower-cost alternative to the iPad mini, the Zen Pad S 8.0 weighs 10.51 ounces (298 grams) and is 0.25 inches (6.6mm) thick.

The tablet maxes out at 32GB of storage, so you’ll need a little extra space elsewhere to store the photos you’ll take on the 8 megapixel (MP) rear camera.

➤ASUS’ slim and sharp ZenPad S tablet arrives in the U.S. [Endgadget]. This has a 7-inch 1024×600 (almost HD, haha) display, powered by a 1.1Ghz Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor. The model available today has 2GB of RAM. Together with the more powerful processor, the Z580C has a much higher resolution 8-inch display panel, again in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Whilst the MicroSD card slot might seem to make the issue of internal storage somewhat irrelevant, it’s important to explain that internal memory is best for installing the majority of applications to and reserving the MicroSD expansion memory for media such as videos, pictures and music.

Asus claims the Zenpad gets up to 9 hours of battery life. At simply 0.sixty nine kilos (350gm), the Android 5.0 gadget contains a handsome black leather-based patterning design.

Customers will now hope that the higher version of the ZenPad S 8.0 with a faster processor and 4GB RAM also makes its way to the shelves as soon as possible.
