Even the Queen’s well-documented love of horses must have been sated by the equine extravaganza staged as part of her 90th birthday celebrations on Sunday.

It will tell the story of the Queen’s life from her birth in 1926, through the Second World War, to her coronation in 1953 and a reign spanning more than 60 years. Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Zara Tindall and Lady Louise Mountbatten all rode in the parade of horses to honour their mother and grandmother.
Her Majesty arrived at the event in a horse-drawn carriage, wearing a a sea green dress with lace overlay, and matching jacket by Angela Kelly accompanied by her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, .

And as she’s the Queen, she has an “official” birthday too, which will be on June 10.
She was also treated to actors including Helen Mirren and Damian Lewis narrating historic moments from her life throughout the show.
Entering on the performance arena the Queen was greeted by son Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Elsewhere during the show, unsaddled horses were led in formation by the horse whisperer Jean Francois Pignon, who made a small white pony walk on its two hind legs. Last month, Queen Elizabeth II went to Windsor Castle to receive her gifts and well-wishes from the citizens, News Everyday noted.

Dame Shirley Bassey sang the James Bond theme Diamonds Are Forever, before the Happy Birthday song was played, followed by the National Anthem. Noting that queen Elizabeth has been on throne for 64 years and is the oldest monarch in British history.
