Maybe Elena’s the lucky one to be sleeping through it. We’ll see Ian Somerhalder’s Damon Salvator drunk at the beginning, but the mood will definitely change when the Mystic Falls welcomes its new visitors and would-be rulers? Also, Damon will get into a drinking spree due to Elena being cursed and apparently the only way for her to be awakened is for Bonnie to die. The hybrids are doing their best/worst to cause havoc in town and one of the three friends is in danger as a result.

Stefan and Caroline – Oh, they’re totally still a thing. News. “Damon is still here and he’s still evolving and he’s still having a blast and he’s still saying super-smarmy, ridiculously overly confident, very wildly embarrassing and degrading things and he will continue to do that, but with a little love for Elena in his heart”. Oh, and they get Stefan and Damon’s house. Alaric turns to Bonnie for help, and more! Or so she thinks. Of what Alaric is trying to do? At the end of the last season, Nina Dobrev, the actress who plays the character of Elena Gilbert, said that she is no longer returning in the next season.
