The Vampire Diaries sends Damon on yet another downward spiral

Once outside, though, Damon owned up to how he burned Elena alive and Stefan reacted by slugging his troubled brother a few times in the face.

Damon has gone off the rails big time now that Elena is gone for good, and without anything to live for, he’s a mix between a murderous psychopath and a cynic with a death wish.

The scene flips to Julian (Todd Lasance) and we discover that he is, indeed, luring locals back to their deaths.

In season 7 episode 12 of “Vampire Diaries”, the brothers, Damon and Stefan, will have a lot of struggle with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) getting into the path of the unknown and Stefan (Paul Wesley) trying to keep his brother under wraps.

Aside from worrying about Caroline having complications from her pregnancy, the extended promotional trailer for “Postcards From The Edge” hinted Stefan is going to be furious when he finds out Julian took Damon under his wing.

Caroline will also be feeling some side effects of her supernatural pregnancy and will be forced to ask help from Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore).

Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Nora are using a locator spell to find the Huntress – Bonnie is anxious that the Huntress will come after her vampire friends.

On the other hand, “American Horror Story” alum Mouzam Makkar officially joins the cast of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and according to TV Line, Makkar is set to play a reccuring role in the show. Damon looked down to see that he’d actually torched Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) body. Their story this week pulls Mary Louise in, as the three go searching for the vampire huntress who they believe is sending them postcards marked with an “X”, which is huntress code for “I’m going to kill you”.

But, once Mary Louise and Nora leave to search the facility for the real Huntress, the old woman reveals her true identity to Bonnie. And it worked, as Stefan hit him, walked away and then realized all of this is Julian’s fault. But this doesn’t have the result Stefan expected and instead he learns that Damon has a very good reason for how he’s acting.

A devastated Stefan punches him and walks away.

We also learned that she chased the heretics through Europe for decades in the 1900’s (which makes her insane old because let’s not forget, hunters are technically human!) and that she was given her powers and sword from shamans.
