THE WALKING DEAD and TALKING DEAD Renewed For Another Season

Although viewers were slightly down earlier in the season, the October 25th episode delivered 18.2 million viewers, 12 million adults 18-49 and 11.5 million adults 25-54 in live+3 ratings – each growing compared to last season’s corresponding episode #503.

Speaking to Variety, “The Walking Dead” executive producer David Alpert explained that the moment for Glenn, regardless of its outcome, was more about demonstrating the consequences of being too forgiving in the zombie apocalypse.

In a move that should be shocking to no one, even the undead, AMC Networks said it has renewed the No. 1 show on television, The Walking Dead, for a seventh season, giving a similar nod to after-show talker Talking Dead.

In a statement today AMC confirmed that the Robert Kirkman adaptation will have a seventh season, with the same going for companion series “Talking Dead”.

“Thank goodness someone had a Magic 8-Ball with them in our many long internal meetings about these renewals”.

With three days to go, and possibly more, until “The Walking Dead” returns to tie up that major cliffhanger from last week, fans are pulling at any hopeful thread they can find to convince themselves that a beloved character is still alive.

“The Walking Dead” Season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.

The Walking Dead left the audience hanging with a possible death of a character. It was the the highest-rated premiere this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

T-Dog (IronE Singleton) gave his life to save Carol from walkers when the group tried to take the prison.

Andrea (Laurie Holden) failed to see The Governor for what he was and paid the ultimate price.

Beth (Emily Kinney) died protecting Noah from Dawn (Christine Woods), forcing Rick to shoot Dawn in the head.

When directly asked by TV Line if Glenn is really dead, the executive producer said, “I’m not going to answer it”.
