The Walking Dead at SDCC: Glitter bombs, Stallone impersonations and Lucille
Fans of the show watched the season six finale in horror as villain Negan – played by Morgan – lined up 11 of the main characters on their knees before brutally murdering at least one with his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, Lucille.

Producers of the AMC series announced the casting news earlier today during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
The trailer for the seventh season dropped at Comic-Con on Friday and while we did learn a lot about what’s to come, we did not learn that one thing the show so desperately wants us to wonder about.
According to the panel, which included Andrew Lincoln getting glitter in his beard, we’ll find out on October 23rd when season seven of The Walking Dead picks up right where we left off, but from an angle where we’ll see who dies.
Executive producer Gale Ann Hurd promised a growing Walking Dead universe, with “more people we haven’t met living in the apocalypse”.
The trailer also shows the arrival of King Ezekiel and his pet tiger in the show, which should be familiar to comic book readers. Though “The Walking Dead” has been teasing the appearance of Ezekiel, it wasn’t certain we’d be seeing Shiva but now we finally confirmation. As Dave Erickson said on the panel, “We’re going to see a level of intensity and violence in the back half that we haven’t seen before”.
“Depth perception is my biggest loss”, said Riggs, whose character, Carl, got his eye shot out last season and has been sporting a pirate patch ever since. “It’s a really shitty start to the season”, Lincoln said while being tight-lipped who the victim is, Variety reports. The candidates: Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and other members of the survivor family.
It’s been nearly three months since The Walking Dead’s Season Six cliffhanger effectively made the Internet rage-quit the zombie series… but they may have just gotten back in our good graces. What are you most excited for?
Fear the Walking Dead returns to AMC on August 21.
