‘The Walking Dead’ brings more Negan and King Ezekiel at Comic-Con

Unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, the three-minute trailer of “The Walking Dead” Season 7 started with the lunatic villain Negan cherry-picking his victim through “eeny meeny miny moe”.

The new season of “The Walking Dead” doesn’t begin until October, but an action-packed new trailer debuted today at Comic-Con hinting the upcoming seventh season may be the best yet.

Fans will have to wait until October 23, (10 ET/PT) the newly announced season premiere date, to learn the identity of Negan’s victim.

“I know there was frustration at the end of season six”, said Hardwick, who hosts the zombie drama’s after-show, “Talking Dead“.

In the trailer we also see the new characters, and the comic fan favorite character, Ezekiel, makes an appearance, and he looks unbelievable!

We still have to wait for the confirmation, but until then, the trailer totally brought me goosebumps.

“They’re separated and learning to survive on their own… there’s a level of intensity and violence you haven’t seen before”, said executive producer Dave Erickson. Ever since the episode aired, fans have been wondering who met Negan’s baseball bat, nicknamed Lucille.

The trailer provides a look at Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his pet tiger who live in an area called the Kingdom.

The fervor over The Walking Dead season 6 cliffhanger has died down somewhat since airing. This can also be a rather risky move, for The Walking Dead since something like a computer image can look rather goofy when it’s interacting with the real world.

Robert Kirkman, who created the comic book series, also revealed, “There will definitely be other characters [besides Ezekiel] that you can see this season, and some surprises coming up so be on the lookout for that”. If the show takes its cue from the comic, this is leading to an even larger conflict between the various survivors and Negan’s forces. Our characters will be meeting both friend and foe. “Hopefully we’re still living out the spirit of George’s imagination”, Benioff said.
