The Walking Dead delivers a shocker
However, after re-watching this particular scene, I am not entirely set on the fact that Glenn is actually dead.

Another fan theory points out the whole scene may possibly be a figment of Nicholas’ hallucination after he zones out on top of the dumpster. It’s not implausible that they’ve kept Yeun on set all this time just to create the illusion nothing happens to him. So those entrails being pulled out in front of Glenn’s face were most likely Nicholas’.
Glenn, who has been with us since the beginning.
With that premise established, let’s get started!
Q: Have you been tracking how the Internet has taken Glenn’s situation?
Of course, this isn’t the first time The Walking Dead has deviated from the comics.
My hunch is that last Sunday’s moment was just a warning shot; a jolting announcement of Glenn’s passing that will be fully explored in the episode to come. With the apparent death of fan-favorite character Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), fans want to know what is next for Rick Grimes and the remaining survivors. This scene in particular is by far one of the most horrific and disturbing images shown on “The Walking Dead”. Given how the finale played out, fans of the franchise are more than grateful that AMC has ordered one more season for the series even before season one ended.
Nicholas and Glenn take off to find a building, while Michonne holds everything down in the pet store.
Even Morgan, who has returned after being absent for most of the middle of the series with a calmer demeanor and a bow staff, is not fully on board with Rick’s methods. As Glenn screamed, guts were torn out and devoured by the walkers.
The season premiere delivers an episode which picks up where the series off, but shifts its time frame a little. Rick runs off separately to get the RV.
Executive writer and producer Scott Gimple said on AMC’s “Talking Dead” that Glenn would reappear in future episodes, potentially in flashbacks or in the main story, adding more fuel to the speculation fire.
Trapped underneath the Nicholas buffet tray along with its nightmarish queue, pulling off such a feat would be quite hard for Glenn. Yet, the spill from just one walker was enough to make the other walkers lose interest in her. Here, Glenn has his proverbial pick of the litter.
Walkers are vicious and tenacious.
They’re numerous, bats**t insane and seem fully intent throwing a few wrenches in the cogs of Rick’s carnivorous cattle drive. AMC could have lost them with a shrug and a “who else can we cast?”, and odds are we would be remembering them right now about as much as Otis or Randall from season 2.
The guy’s been having them the entire episode. This, for me, is unfortunate, as Heath is a solid, well-built comic book character and I have yet to see him shine. For a second thing, look at that overhead picture and tell me where the spot to escape is.

Over on the other side of town, Glenn and Nicholas discover that the building they were planning on setting ablaze has already burned down. Those who step up and want to be us, too.
