‘The Walking Dead’ fans start petition demanding AMC reveal finale details

After building up to his introduction all season, the final episode of season 6 introduced villain Negan. Cue end credits. Enter fan rage. They most likely will end up in Hilltop with the rest of the gang. Yeah I wanna know as well but I can wait ’til the premiere in October. A lot were shocked with the finale episode, but executive producer and showrunner Scott Gimple defends the cliff-hanger. Well, you can read all about that one HERE. If AMC made a decision to stick to the original story – which at one point it hinted it wouldn’t – then Glenn should be the one to die.

Unfortunately, I think swapping Abraham with Denise was done by design, to make Glenn’s impending demise less predictable.

Thankfully, Greg Nicotero shot two versions of Negan’s heavy game of eeny meeny miny mo. “A couple of them embraced me immediately after we filmed all night”. Knowing the fact that any death changes our characters and changes our people in a very dramatic way, what’s exciting about season seven is how a death – any death – changes people and propels us into a different direction.

This way, by giving us an ambiguous ending, the show was able to avoid having a predictable finish – and they’ll still be able to kill Glenn off as soon as the series picks back up.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC later this year.

Of course, this could be one other way AMC is trolling us. You people just want to see someone’s head get bashed in. The entire reason everyone was so sure Glenn was alive the last time he seemed most definitely dead is that we all figured they had to do his memorable comic-book murder at the hands of Negan and his barbed-wire bat Lucille.

Admit it – you’re still trying to figure out who Negan killed in the Season 6 finale of “The Walking Dead.’ It’s OK, so are we”. “We didn’t have anybody there because we didn’t want even somebody on the crew or somebody there to go, ‘Oh I get it, I know what’s going to happen, ‘” he told Entertainment Weekly. I don’t know if any of the cast knew exactly how it was going to end, which kind of caused a lot of the uncertainty and emotion that was going on.

He said that as the viewers expected, the premiere episode of The Walking Dead Season 7 will start off from where the last season ended and the atmosphere is going to be very dark. I understand the fans’ frustration, I get that.

“I am not really signing, I just wanted to say this is the stupidest thing I ever saw”, another penned. “When we reveal who was on the receiving end there, that’s going to be the start of another story”.

Fans aren't happy about the ending of The Walking Dead's sixth season which ended with a cliffhanger
