‘The Walking Dead’ recap: No one’s hands are clean
In the aftermath of a minor success, the members of the group are taken and held hostage. Granted, some of them had issues-the injured man left to bleed to death for lack of a belt, the woman coughing up blood due to her cigarette addiction, Alicia Witt’s character clearly being damaged emotionally-but that doesn’t make them any less risky. Which is pretty clear isn’t the main facility but rather an outpost on. The episode also intimates that it is Carol and Paula’s status as women that has helped them survive this long in this world. Even the camera walking with them in which they could only see their feet walking was a horrifying way to be, well, in their shoes. However, one Savior ended up escaping. It brings us quickly to the daytime from their perspective with what we saw happen with Rick and the others, keeping things clean and simple, which is definitely an advantage. So many action hero female characters are written to be emotionless robots, but Maggie and Carol’s emotions save them while the hardcore women all end up dead. And that certainly raises the stakes. Rick then suggested to kill all Saviors but Morgan expressed that he is against it. There’s an intensity to this group that’s off-putting when you get down to it, especially since they’ve overtaken “our” guys that have been very competent overall, outside of the stupid writing that’s put into play.

Paula’s called out when one of her teammates calls for backup. I am alive. Your people are killers that makes you a killer, ‘ she told Carol. However the older lady intriguingly replies that they’re all Negan.
The lines between good and bad, obviously, have become entirely blurred by now.
The enemies then then spied on Rick, Glenn and Daryl and the gang as they in turn took a prisoner of their own inside the compound. “You good?” asks Daryl, “No” replies Carol. Eventually, she encounters Maggie and Carol, who has a gun trained on her. Carol doesn’t want to kill Paula and urges her to run, but she won’t. Later, Paula explains how things went down for her in D.C. when the apocalypse hit and she was stuck with her boss, not her husband and kids.
Let’s hope that by the end of the next few episodes, we get a chance to FINALLY see Negan (the real one), and see how Carol and numerous other characters handle being around him. A part of the post reads: “Carol gets religion”. Donny wants to kill Carol, or at least give her a similar wound. We as an audience dont know how much of that act the character really believed, but according to the actress: the next stage of the characters development will delve into that. Not because of Maggie but because it’s not the right way to survive here. Once again Carol adapts to her situation and pretends to use a rosary she picked off a dead walker on the floor. She generally will not hesitate to do so when she needs to, but it’s something she, like Rick, tries to avoid. Could it be that she witnesses Glenn’s death while pregnant with his child? Maggie throws up due to her current condition, but the woman keeps requesting some information about Maggie’s home. “She has just been on autopilot”. When Primo lies and says he’s Negan, Rick shoots him in the head and the episode comes to a close for this week.

That just leaves Paula, who won’t back down.
