‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6: Episode 13 – Recap & Spoilers

And “The Same Boat” is no exception to that. A part of the post reads: “Carol gets religion”. Bound with her hands duct taped together and gagged at the mouth, Maggie scurries around to find something to free her hands with, but doesn’t make much progress before Paula’s people return. In fact, fans have noticed an interesting detail in the midseason premiere, including the scene where Daryl explodes men Negan blows bazooka presented below and briefly appears below where a suspicious vehicle in the background, right in the moment of the explosion.

What’s going on during tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead?

Carol and Maggie gave their captors their names and they urged Rick to do a trade for their own hostage. Carol shot him in the arm and wanted to leave – Maggie went over to “finish it”. Rick’s decision to leverage Hilltop’s assets and kill mercilessly to gain them, while dragging moral touchstones like Glenn and Maggie into the abyss with him is hard to swallow right now.

On Sunday night’s new episode of “The Walking Dead”, we ultimately saw a scenario unfold where Carol and Maggie did everything humanly possible to survive. They tie the women up and talk down to them. After the deadly raid on the Saviors’ compound, there’s been some talk of whether Rick and company are still the good guys.

Carol: You. You’re the one who’s afraid to die. I liked the character Carol had become, and I don’t want her to get annoying before she’s written off. Maggie and Carol actually help put the man down. Carol quickly does her mousy act that she does so well, while Maggie tries to remain stoic and unreadable.

When Molly comes back to the chamber, she’s surprised by zombie Donnie (Zonnie?) who chews on her wrist before she stabs him. In her case, she had a crap job and a shitty boss instead of an abusive husband, but she, too, was a mother: 4 girls and a loving husband. She’s gone through a bit of a change, too, and she’s become one of the stronger characters on the show.

Carol effectively went toe to toe with a version of herself in Alicia Witt’s Paula – who seemingly had lost her conscience. And on the opposite side of that coin, are we supposed to believe that Rick took Primo’s defiant assertion of being Negan at face value?

Paula then starts to monologue, talking about how she’s gotten to a point where she doesn’t “feel bad” about killing anymore. This is Carol. She knows that she has to be okay in order to make it through the situation, and she knows that she will do what she has to, regardless of what it means.

Maggie and her assigned captor, a deep-voiced young woman close to her in age, also share a few things in common, though only enough for Maggie to momentarily sympathize.

NEXT: Time to hatch an escape plan. The script very craftily sets up Paula as a parallel Carol: a formerly timid, unexceptional secretary, who now has no compunction about lying and killing if it’ll get her through another day. That snapped Carol back into action, and Nine-Fingered Sally took a bullet to the head. Then they trap a scout crew in a locked room and light it on fire, standing outside as screams erupt then subside. Women threatening other women. She takes a swipe at Maggie’s stomach, and Carol immediately shoots her in the head.

Paula: Your people are killers, Carol. Once the men arrive, Carol and Maggie toss a lit cigarette into the room filled with gasoline and shut the door, leaving them to burn alive. She’s so convincing, Maggie should be truly horrified by her pal’s ability to slip into someone else’s skin and completely disappear. I love that scene with Maggie when the Savior says, “You’re not a good guy”.

The Spoiling Dead Fans has even more spoilers about “The Same Boat”. Even worse, it’s a pit stop we already made with Glenn and Heath just seven days ago. I do kind of like that concept that Negan is just a group, but I know better. Now I’m really ready for Carol to assume her full form. If only she could see baby Judith! Keeping that list and count and thinking of every circumstance that’s happened – that she even remembers is very telling. Maggie finally calms down when her Holy Cross beads are discovered. While it’s insane that she’s bringing a new life into the world, she needs to realize that she’s not invincible.
