‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Gets Premiere Date, First Trailer

As the trailer suggests, we can expect to see a lot of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) since he, Tom Payne, Austin Amelio, and Xander Berkeley were recently promoted to season 7 regulars.

The fates of 11 key characters in AMC’s zombie hit hangs in the balance.

AMC started to release series of teasers for The Walking Dead Season 7 which debuted at San Diego’s Comic-Con 2016.

During the Comic-Con panel, Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer, pointed to some “nonhuman” characters entering the fray this year. It’s a fantastic premiere to a fantastic season. The character is first introduced in Issue 108 of Robert Kirkman’s comic series. “It’s a fantastic premiere to a fantastic season”. And then to twist the knife a little more, the network unveiled the first trailer for the seventh season.

“I wasn’t aware that it would have the impact that it did”, Gimple said. But, he added, it’s all leading to “one of the greatest showdowns we’ve had on this show since Terminus”.

Nairn received a standing ovation from the Comic-Con crowd, who chanted “Hodor, Hodor” in honor of one of the show’s best loved characters.

Now, we wait until The Walking Dead returns on Sunday, October 23 when we’ll finally find out who Negan kills and what happens next.

So Walking Dead is about to show us two new major characters, characters who reportedly are at odds with each other. That sounds awesome because I would not have gone to set if there had been a real tiger anywhere near set.

Fear the Walking Dead is struggling with ratings.
