The whole world honors Paris

The whole world is shocked with the horrifying coordinated terrorist attacks in six known locations in Central Paris on November 13 to 14, leaving hundreds dead and prompting French President Francois Hollande to declare the country under a state of emergency and close its borders.

Auckland’s Sky Tower will also be lit by the colours of the French flag to show solidarity with Paris in the wake of today’s terrorist attacks. U.S. President Barack Obama described the incident as an attack on humanity.

It has been reported that another 200 were injured, 80 seriously, including one Australian. “So, if we can’t source one, we are going to make one”. He has also announced the sails of the Sydney Opera House will again be illuminated in the French national colours on Sunday and Monday nights. The Australian community wrote that they want to show their support even if they were miles apart.

New South Wales Premier Mike Baird has expressed on Twitter that he wanted the French flag to fly over Sydney Harbour Bridge. Mr Baird and French diplomats will be among those at the 3pm service at Sydney’s St Andrews Cathedral.

The Sydney Opera House and the Arts Centre in Melbourne will also be lit up in the colours of the French flag on Saturday night, as prominent buildings around the world changed colour in remembrance of the estimated 150 people killed in the French capital.

Bratislava Castle is lit in red, white and blue, the colors of the French flag as Slovakians express their solidarity with France.
