Tonight sees the competition reach a new level as the dramatic Six Chair Challenge returns, promising some awesome performances and some tough decisions for the judges, as they must each choose the final six acts they will take through to Judges’ Houses.

Tonight though, as the contestants in the female category slugged it out for one of half a dozen places in the next round, was a return to that initial form, with singer from Clydach receiving a standing ovation from the audience at Wembley Arena.

The 19-year-old Swansea waitress first appeared on our screens back at the start of September, when she blew away The X Factor judges with her initial showstopping performance of With You from the musical Ghost.

Scherzinger told Terry: “This has been such a hard decision for me”.

Matt’s first performance of Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man had divided the judges and so he tries again with a rendition of Little Mix hit Secret Love Song. And I’m just going to go off of my gut and my heart right now.

Who will have what it takes to keep hold of their seat and be one step closer to a coveted place in the lives shows?

In a surprising twist, he opted to remove 16-year-old Samantha Lavery from her seat to give it to Gifty Louise, 20, following her unique take on Gnarls Barkley’s insane. Sunday’s episode will see Irina Dedyuk try to win judge Sharon Osbourne’s favour by performing Mamma Knows Best by Jessie J.

He said: “Right now, you have made my life very hard because I have to give you a chair, that was outstanding”.

Simon does not get an easier ride as he chooses between the girls, including the likes of popular contestants Kayleigh Marie Morgan, 19, Gifty Louise, 20, Emily Middlemas, 17, and 18-year-old Caitlyn Vanbeck.
