During their conversation, Kennedy suddenly mentioned Star Wars 1313 – a game that was seemingly cancelled when Disney bought Star Wars maker, Lucasfilm.

Speaking to SlashFilm at last weekend’s The Force Awakens conference, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy talked about the standalone Star Wars films, and how they will be different from what Marvel is doing. “We don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. We definitely want to do something”.
The game we’re talking about is, of course, Star Wars 1313, and it was suggested after Disney’s takeover of LucasFilm that the company wasn’t interested in continuing with its development.
From Kennedy’s words, it sounds like the chances of 1313 coming back as a game might be slim, but that it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw ideas from the cancelled project appear in future films, comics or books. And now, with Dr. Who, Star Trek and finally, the iconic Star Wars releasing new movie installments, we, as parents, get to share our sci-fi adventure with the kids.
So whatever form we eventually see 1313 in, be it a game or a TV show or a spinoff film, the project is still important to those now working on Star Wars.
5 Actors we know will be in Episode VIII.
For example: The Inquisitor, the Imperial Security Bureau, and Sienar Fleet Systems all show up in the Star Wars Rebels animated series, and those concepts all originated in the EU.
A couple of years ago LucasArts announced an upcoming Star Wars game titled Star Wars 1313.
But even if the game ditches the grit and grime that it wanted to have, it would still be worth it just to see and play Star Wars 1313 after all this time.

With the Star Wars Saga movies there is an established feel, tone, and look which can’t be veered from too much. And she’s revealed that the basic story outlines are now in place for the movies right through to the end of Star Wars: Episode IX. One inherent advantages this affords the franchise is that the creative forces behind the films would not have to constantly cook up cheap resurrection plotlines to keep certain characters established within the universe.
