There’s No Place Like Home for Golden State

Stephen Curry lauded the Golden State Warriors’ “amazing accomplishment” after they secured a 44th successive regular-season home victory by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 on Thursday. Last Saturday’s loss turned the Thunder into the team with the most apparent advantages to beat the Warriors in a playoff series, but it’s hard to argue they have the mettle for accomplishing such things. The three-point play put the Warriors up by nine points, and Thompson’s big dunk followed on the next possession.

Kevin Durant had an impressive stat line of 32 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in defeat, but the 6-foot-11 sharpshooter had as many turnovers (nine) as the entire Warriors team combined. After struggling to mount a consistent defensive effort for much of the first half and executing poorly on offense to start the third quarter, the Warriors found a rhythm to close the third quarter on an 11-3 run. This time, rather than Curry shooting the lights out, it was their bench that provided the spark.

Golden State was locked and loaded with a 10-to-0 run to get up 12 points, but Curry hammered the nail on the coffin with 2:15 left in the game. “He’s a “rule breaker” when it comes to jump shooting… he becomes a problem in the video game world where we’ve been trying to train our gamers [to know] that certain types of shots should be rewarded versus others”.

“You combine that with winning a championship”. “It’s a blessing to be on this team with all these guys in this locker room and the coaching staff and these fans”. Watch Thunder vs Warriors online free live streaming late tonight to see which Western Conference powerhouse comes out on top.

And while the drill may not truly help Curry, he has been able to make some wild shots over two defenders, so perhaps it’s helping even if Fraser and U’Ren weren’t planning on it.

OKC was just 4 of 20 from beyond the arc.

Curry was helped out by his teammates in this one as well. “The confidence level is just remarkable”. Draymond Green had 14 points, eight boards and seven dimes, while Harrison Barnes had 14 points with seven rebounds and five dimes.

Curry hit a 33-footer to give the Warriors a 61-60 lead, and they went into halftime leading by two.

The Warriors staged a come back in final quarter.

The Warriors have now won seven in a row.
