There won’t be a PC beta for Titanfall 2
No date for the stress test has been given other than that it’s right “around the corner”.

Today, in a blog post, Respawn founder and CEO Vince Zampella revealed that the upcoming technical test is not coming to PC. Why?
Respwan Entertainment has finally lift the curtain from Titanfall 2’s campaign by sharing major details regarding it.
Titanfall 2 beta is for console gamers only.
He also said Respawn is anxious PC players might be able to dig further into the beta than intended and spoil the single-player campaign.
Titanfall 2 is set to come out on October 28.
The beta will concentrate only on the mutiplayer mode as they don’t want to spoil anything about the single player story. Respawn’s seen it happen, and they have decided it’s just not worth the risk with Titanfall 2. The question, though, is whether or not it will be buttery smooth in time for the game’s release.
Finally, the developer said that given “the wonderful curiosity” of the players, a beta for PC could cause people to find spoilers in the game code. Further, they haven’t run the game through the hardware compatibility test lab to detect the variety of hardware that encompasses PCs.
Similar to the first installment, Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter in which players can control both the pilots and the Titans, a mech-style exoskeletons. To keep that from happening with Titanfall 2’s single player campaign, they’ve made a decision to hold off opening the beta to PC gamers.
In an interview with lead writer Hesse Stern by Forbes, Stern confirmed that although the original Titanfall started life as an Xbox exclusive (it was later released on PC), Titanfall 2 will be multi-platform. Quite frankly, we aren’t ready to deal with that yet, we are still making the game better. The title will be available for Microsoft Windows (PC), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but its technical multiplayer test (or beta) will only be playable in the latter two.

On the subject of minimum-specification optimization, Zampella said Respawn has not done enough work to fully support Titanfall 2 on lower-spec rigs.
