Since this morning a new Twitter page under the name of director Ameer appeared from nowhere it had some unfavourable Tweets about the Box office performance of actor Vijay’s latest release “Theri”.

Theri released across the world in over 3500 screens across the world and the movie received decent response from the audience all over. And as expected, director Atlee’s second outing had a fabulous four-day weekend. The superstar film released in 15 cinemas in Chennai and managed to rake in Rs. 50 lakh at the Chennai Box Office on its opening weekend, which is quite commendable considering that film’s release date clashed with Theri’s. Songs and Background music are also main highlights of the movie success. Theri was though to break the first day box office collections record set up by Ajith’s Vedalam in Tamilnadu which has collected 15 crores, but due to the Chengalpet area issue the movie could not break the record of Vedalam.
