While Rylan went on to make it to the live finals, Ottavio failed to be picked but now he’s made it in a duo with Bradley.

X Factor’s Bradley Hunt and Ottavio Columbro have responded to comments over their “fake” chicken row.

Speaking before his audition, Ottavio confessed: “I haven’t always been a soloist”. After their emotional reunion, Ottavio and Bradley – basically a poor man’s Diva Fever – scraped through but we can never forgive Ottavio for uttering the most irritating of expressions: “Either accept me for me or jog on dot com”.

Bradley complained: “I just wanted him to say thank you, I exhausted, I didn’t want him to throw it onto my knee caps”. “I think you’d be fantastic”. “I don’t want salmonella”.

“He cooked me some chicken, and when he gave it to me, it’s all pink”.

After Ottavio broke down in tears, Bradley was called to the audition room where he impressed with a performance of R. Kelly’s “Ignition”.

Returning to audition together with the Pussycat Dolls song Buttons, they won over judges Sharon Osborne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, winning a place in the next round.

Giving his side of the story, Bradley said: “I made chicken and I didn’t leave it in long enough because I was hungry. I suppose I do miss him”.

Nah mate, if someone served me undercooked chicken, we’d be over, too.

Elsewhere on the episode Welsh singer Kayleigh wowed with a stunning rendition of Ghost The Musical’s With You and Janet Grogan returned to prove to Simon Cowell why he was wrong to drop her from his category two years earlier. “You weren’t great individually, but I actually think you are worse together”. He tweeted afterwards that it was a mistake.
