Thin Skin? Philippine President Threatens To Leave The ‘Insulting’ UN
But maybe we’ll just have to decide to separate from the United Nations.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has denounced the United Nations after it called for an end to killings blamed on his war on drugs, saying he might leave the organisation and invite China and others to form a new one.
“You now, UN, if you can say one bad thing about me, I can give you ten (about you)”, he said, before mentioning the organisation’s “failure” to curb hunger and terrorism. If you are that disrespectful, son of a whore, we’ll just leave the organisation.
There have been about 900 executions since May during Rodrigo Duterte’s war on illegal drugs targeting dealers and users. You have done nothing anyway. When were you here last time? Never. Except to criticize.
The comments come days after the United Nations urged Duterte’s administration to step back from its violent approach to drug crime.
Duterte’s drug crackdown has left more than 500 suspected dealers dead and more than 4,400 arrested since he took office on June 30.
“Allegations of drug-trafficking offenses should be judged in a court of law, not by gunmen on the streets”, a report released Thursday quotes human rights experts as saying.
Callamard has since said that she “welcomes” any opportunity to investigate the killings on the ground.
Mr. Duterte lashed out in a similar fashion on Sunday, accusing the “stupid” United Nations of not doing anything in Middle East hot spots Syria and Iraq. Earlier in August, he called the U.S. ambassador in the country “gay” and a “son of a bitch”.
Duterte enjoys high levels of support among Filipinos, who he says are exhausted of the scourge of drugs.
Police chiefs have admitted they are responsible for the deaths of some 600 drugs suspects since July, with local media suggesting the true number could easily be more than 1,000 when vigilante killings are taken into account.
Former justice secretary Senator Leila De Lima is planning to launch an inquiry into the killings – an act that has already drawn scorn from President Duterte, who labelled her an “immoral woman”.

Duterte stands by his tactics, which he says are justified in ridding the country of drugs. You do not go out and give a shitting statement against a country’.
