Things are certainly not getting any better at United – Owen

Louis van Gaal has admitted Manchester United’s recent performances have left him feeling “angry and bored at times”, and Ian Wright thinks fans at Old Trafford are beginning to turn on Louis van Gaal.

“They are not thinking that we would score, I think, and maybe also because of the traffic”, he said.

“There are many reasons to leave the stadium”.

“There are matches that I have enjoyed and there are also matches where I’m very bored or angry because we are not disorganising our opponent’s defence”, he said, as reported by Sky Sports.

“I’m not Sir Alex, as you know. But we are in the next round”.

And Rooney’s penalty was only the second shot on target United managed against a team 47 places below them.

But Van Gaal insists supporters should be happy with the way their team have returned to winning ways following a run of eight matches without victory.

Manchester United owners the Glazer family are set to sack club manager Louis Van Gaal after seeing their patience tested to the limit with the clubs inspiring performances this season.

The Dutchman has now come with a statement to defend himself. You have to be in the next round and that’s where we are.

Paul Scholes, United’s legendary midfielder, appeared as a pundit on television and went on to say that Van Gaal looked bored on the bench – just like the rest of the spectators. “I think that we have to play with wingers who make the pitch as big as possible”, he said.

“It is like that and I have said also in the (summer) transfer period that we need creative players with speed and we don’t have that too much”.

The former Bayern Munich manager is never willing to give an inch no matter how poorly his team played, or what woeful football his players are producing every week for the club since the start of the season. “How many stadiums were like our stadium, full?, asked Van Gaal on Monday”. The fans also have to know that we can’t always play fantastic football and that was the case in former days as well.

Van Gaal then strongly defended how he prepares his team for each game and was quick to stress that his primary focus is improving his side’s fortunes in front of goal.
