“We played well for 60 minutes, but were not good enough for 30 minutes”.
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech crashed his vehicle after Arsenal lost 4-3 in the Premier League to Liverpool on Sunday. Lallana admitted after the match, “We were working on them a couple of days ago- there’s no chance anyone is getting anywhere near a free-kick now”. The former Southampton man announced himself with a wonderful curling shot into the top corner. “We came out firing in the second half and got some brilliant goals”, said Liverpool captain Philippe Coutinho, full of praise for the 23-year old after he scored a miraculous free-kick and added a second by turning in Nathaniel Clyne’s pin-point cross.
“Yes, I think I can score more this season”, Coutinho told the Liverpool Echo. You have 37 more games and you need to make sure that is the last defeat’. “I think it was my best one”.
“The momentum shifted when they got an equaliser in the last minute of the first half”.
“We didn’t start well in the game”. But we’ll see first what we can do with the players who are preparing at the moment and how many players are injured today – can they recover for next week? I thought if we concentrated and continued to play well we were going to win the game but, within a 15-minute spell, they scored three and decided the game. Our mistakes were so big it was so easy to talk about so we changed our way of defending and showed them where the spaces are.
