Things to Know About Trump’s and Clinton’s Health
Donald Trump’s campaign has released a letter from his doctor outlining the results from his latest physical. But, he repeated, “I’m not in the name-calling business”, he said, because “civility is essential” and “I’m also not going to validate the language that Hillary Clinton used”.

Trump’s cholesterol was 169, well below the traditional goal of 200 or less, with levels of unhealthy “bad” cholesterol at 94 and good cholesterol, which ferries fat out of the bloodstream, at 63.
On Friday a tweet-storm developed when outraged Hollywood and entertainment types on Twitter had a meltdown over the Tonight Show appearance of Trump – to them it was an affront that host and entertainer Jimmy Fallon did not treat the Republican nominee’s appearance as an opportunity for a hard hitting interview.
The doctor also says that Pence had basal cell carcinomas – skin cancer – removed from his face in 2002 and 2010.
Hillary Clinton is condemning what she calls “apparent terrorist attacks” in Minnesota, New Jersey and NY. “Richard Lugar cautioned her against foreign donors using the Clinton Foundation”. The Clinton campaign released a letter from Mrs. Clinton’s personal doctor on Wednesday saying she continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as president.
“My campaign has said that they could have been faster and I agree with that”, she said.
“So with every breath I take I feel like I have a new lease on life”, Clinton joked. Pence did not say if he has been briefed on the two explosions or the mall stabbing where eight people were injured before the attacker was shot and killed by police.
“Clinton is running a policy-free campaign”.
Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell called her handling of the incident “regrettable” and said he was still “cautiously optimistic” about the race.
Trump disclosed the one-page letter from his longtime doctor, Harold Bornstein, to The Washington Post on Thursday.
Donald Trump’s vice-presidential nominee went on CNN on Monday evening, trying to make hay from Hillary Clinton’s calling half of Trump’s backers racists and other “deplorables”.
The letter released Wednesday by the campaign stated that Clinton underwent a chest scan that revealed she had “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”, according to Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, chair of internal medicine at CareMount Medical in Mount Kisco, New York.
After Trump’s event, the GOP nominee invited photographers and a camera on a tour of his new hotel property, without reporters present. But she returned to campaigning Thursday saying the time away gave her new perspective on why she’s running. But voters will have to wait another day for details: The show does not air until Thursday.
Trump’s campaign issued a statement on Thursday night that said the Republican nominee, who rose to political prominence by questioning the president’s birthplace, now believes Obama was born in the United States. In his family history there is no history of heart disease; his father, Fred Trump, a NY real estate developer who died at 93, contracted Alzheimer’s Disease late in his long life.
The letter says that Trump takes a statin, a drug for lowering cholesterol, and has a body mass index in the overweight range.
Pence is a former 12-year congressman and says he envisions emulating Cheney in working closely with the House and Senate to implement Trump’s agenda. But his refusal to make the full results of the tests or his medical history publicly available underscored his penchant for secrecy, more so than rival Hillary Clinton and a trait that makes him the least transparent presidential candidate in modern times.
“He has expressed support for building a wall between the United States and Mexico; for torturing suspected terrorists and killing their families (and) for Mr Putin’s dictatorial leadership”.
Pence says he has talked with Trump about what his role would be, but declined to talk more about “our private conversations”.
Trump discussed the results of his physical ahead of the airing Wednesday of a taped interview with TV personality “Dr. Oz”.
Wilson said it was “deeply ironic” and “troubling” that Republicans who were up in arms in 2008 over what they said was a lack of details about Barack Obama were mostly silent when it came to Trump.

Ever the showman, Trump’s appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show” was billed by the campaign as a discussion about his general well-being and his family’s medical history.
