This Bollywood Superstar To Play Rajinikanth’s Role In Kabali Hindi Remake?

The much-awaited movie of Rajinikanth had finally released on July 22, 2016 that is yesterday and successfully completed the first day in the theaters.

Mingguan Malaysia reported that the film, starring megastar Rajinikanth, is purposely trying to incite racial controversy in Malaysia with numerous film’s scenes shot here.

The music album of Rajinikanth-starrer “Kabali” has seen a staggering 3 million streams on music streaming application Saavn.

Nambi Rajan, owner of Aurora Talkies, one of the last surviving single screen theatres in the city, told IANS: “It’s like a Rajinikanth festival here”.

Between a lot of hype and buzz Rajnikanth starrer, Kabali released yesterday with the big banger in cinemas.

According to Taran Adarsh, film critic and business analyst, preview shows of Kabali in Tamil and Telugu generated collections of almost Rs 13 crore in the U.S. and Canada.

With shows starting from as early as 6 in the morning- and ticket prices at some places ranging anywhere from Rs 100 to Rs 500-the film was welcomed with euphoria by Rajini fans.

Its performance stoked global ambitions for the Tamil-language film industry, nicknamed “Kollywood” after the Kodambakkam district of Chennai where many studios are based. It has also received multiple requests for booking complete shows of Kabali.

While the film is getting an enormous response in South India, reportedly, the makers of the film are planning to make a Bollywood remake of the film. Bathing the Kabali’s huge poster with gallons of milk was yet another insane fandom to be witnessed as bathing idols of gods is an Indian tradition. “Kabali” is made on a budget of Rs. 100 crore and the movie has earned about Rs. 225 crore from the sales of theatrical, audio, satellite rights and through various deals.

“Kabali” featuring Rajinikanth as a Malaysian Don, with Radhika Apte and Dhansika too in the lead. The gangster drama has been shot in Chennai, Bangkok, Malaysia and Hong Kong, and also stars Taiwanese actor Winstan Chao as the principal antagonist.
