This Bridal Party Ditched Their Bouquets And Held Rescue Pups Instead

When it came time to say, “I do”, Matt Crain and Sarah Mallouk Crain made a decision to include some furry friends on their guest list. The theme of puppy love continued into their wedding planning; Sarah came up with the idea to take post-ceremony photos with six pups who were in need of forever homes.

Sarah Mallouk Crain’s wedding day was full of furry fun as she and now-husband Matt Crain opted to add puppies to their wedding party in lieu of a traditional flower bouquet for the ladies and a dose of man’s best friend for the guys.

Craine works at Pitties Love Peace, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs in Central Pennsylvania.

The litter of Boxer-Coonhound puppies highlighted in the photos are all sisters, named after the original five First Ladies of the United States: Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth and Louisa. The Pitbull the bride is holding is a nine week old rescue pup from the streets of Brooklyn, lovingly referred to as “Biggie Smalls”.

Caroline Logan, a Lancaster, PA-based photographer, captured this unique wedding memory.

‘And of course, the bridal party loved it! Sounds like the flawless remedy for wedding-day jitters.

Even the groomsmen got in on the action.

She’s served on the Board of Directors as the secretary and primary dog trainer since 2011, when the shelter was founded.

Photographer Caroline Logan reported that, thankfully, there was no puppy drama, and no accidents happened during the pup-centric portion of the photo shoot. She organised six of the rescued pit bull puppies to feature in her wedding photoshoot. “In fact, the puppies caused the photos to be extra natural, candid, and carefree-exactly what I strive for in my work!” “The puppies that you see in our photos are just as good as any that you’d find in a pet store.” .
