Some conspiracy theorists have guessed that the command gives iPhone users a way to call 911 without tipping off those within earshot-a capability that could be useful in emergency situations. The call is triggered when asking Siri to “charge my phone 100 percent”. No mention of the “feature” has been found in any of Apple’s official documentation for Siri.

Siri is no stranger to quirky bugs and throwing intentional shade, but while her sass is often cute and amusing, this latest issue could be risky and could instigate a flurry of prank or unintentional calls to authorities. That’s unexpected behaviour, and seems to be connected to the “100%” phrase.
The odd feature, first reported by The Verge, appears to works on both iOS 8 and iOS 9, according to multiple experiments conducted by CNBC.
