This could be California’s largest puppy litter ever

And that’s the beauty of it – seventeen different puppies of a highly specific farming breed, all born on a California farm, and all bound for a farm of their own. “We did C-section, and it was just one puppy after another, after another”, she said.

Stella and the puppies’ dad, Orso, are working dogs for Napa Grass Farmer, which describes itself as a “holistic, regenerative grass farm”.

A dog who looks after the sheep and chickens at a Napa farm has broken the record for having the largest litter of puppies in California.

Stella, a sheepdog from Napa Grass Farmer in California, is the proud mama of a record 17 puppies. Napa Grass Farmer captioned the Facebook post.

The litter is made up of 11 male puppies and six female puppies.

“It’s really important to us that the pups go to farms and not suburban homes”, Costanzo said.

‘They all made it and are healthy. The newborn litter was “the largest” she and the lead doctor had ever witnessed, she added.

‘But once the seventeenth, you know, finally coming out, you know, we realized that this is going to take a lot of work.

The Guinness World Record for the largest littler of puppies ever is 24.
