This is Buhari’s position on the ‘100 days promises’ saga – Presidency

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the vice president on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, said the multiplier effects of the proposed scheme include job creation, increase in food production of up to 530,000 metric tonnes per annum, which will attract investor-by-investment of up to N980billion.
“I didn’t fund them and I didn’t authorize them”.
Buhari has a total of five homes and two mud houses in Daura (Katsina state), Shehu said. “So, people cannot hold him to account on something which he did not commit himself”, Shehu said.
Shehu said, “We prefer to talk about milestones instead of achievements; whether the milestones represent achievements or not, that is left for the people to decide”.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, who lost to Buhari in the March 28 polls, declined to declare his wealth as president though he had done so as vice president during the regime of the late Umaru Yar’Adua -the first leader to declare his assets when taking office.
Although the documents had gone viral on social media platforms including APC’s website, the presidential spokesperson said the party had many centres of communication, some of which were on the loose.
He said the country’s ability to create wealth has been increasingly battered by lack of prudence, transparency and honesty in the management of public resources, on the part of some of those entrusted with the duty of governance at all levels in the past, causing Nigerians to suffer in the midst of plenty.
“Yes, it was possible that things were being done without the knowledge or the usage of the proper channel of communication”, he added.
“The balancing must happen when the political appointment are being made but we must not at this particular point in time with the few appointments say that one must be from the North, one must be from South or from the east not at this very stage”.
Osinbajo decried the high rate of unemployment in the country in spite of the fact that Nigeria had recorded high oil prices, Gross Domestic Product and foreign reserves during the previous administrations. That saving will be ploughed back into development and this is what I can promise.
