During the video presentation Lindgren wished everybody on Earth a warn and happy Thanksgiving and explained how happy and fortunate he felt to be on the global Space Station and to work in its orbiting laboratory, which he then went on to praise for its allowing of scientists from all around the world to conduct research that benefits all of humanity.
The menu will consist of smoked turkey, candied yams, rehydratable corn and potatoes au gratin, all of which comes in individual pouches.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets are still grounded after a June failure, but on Friday NASA gave his aerospace company some good news by officially ordering a future flight that will take astronauts to the global Space Station.

The NASA astronauts said although they are far from their families, they are not too upset. So this is what I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving.
While the astronauts won’t be at home around a dinner table with their families for the celebration, they should be able to have a little more time to speak with their families, and have a big meal of their own. Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko launched with Kelly and is part of the same study as Kelly. As for his partner Kelly, he will return in March of next year.
Especially Lindgren who was bound for earth on December 11th said that he missed his wife and children and was looking forward to seeing them after a long time.
Although the final details of the SpaceX commercial space mission are yet to be finalized, experts on the matter claim that the mission will send four crew members at most into the global Space Station.

But on Thursday, when the astronauts on the global Space Station will have they day off, it seems that the general consensus for leisure activities includes playing some football and relaxing around the space station.
