This is what happens at the end of No Man’s Sky

By exploiting this glitch, harvesting the most valuable items, such as Atlas Stones, can be done in a snap.

Planets, creatures and timings may change, but once you have an Atlas Pass you’ll quickly become the master of unlocking (doors and chests).

The exploit is fairly simple to perform, and I’ll explain it here, but be warned that it essentially defeats the objective of the game – exploring and discovery.

One of No Man’s Sky’s most valuable resources are Atlas Stones, as they are related to reaching the game’s ending, and collecting just a few is created to take several hours.

No Man’s Sky has not yet completed a week on PS4 but players have already found multiple bugs and exploits in the game. But if they just choose to reload their previous save file instead, they get their inventory back instantly, as well as the grave stash.

Testing it out for Eurogamer, our Ian Higton managed to get five Atlas Stones in around half an hour – a process which would otherwise take at least 10 times that.

After this not only do players have the items in their ship inventory they also have the ones that are on the corpse itself, and that doubles the stash in a jiffy.

Atlas Stones apparently sell for a pretty good buck, and inventory space is in short supply when you’re first getting started in No Man’s Sky, so there’s obviously incentive to get rid of them fairly quickly.

The items you wish to duplicate need to be in the ship’s inventory, and you’ll need free slots to pick them up, but – in theory – if you had 10 Atlas Stones in there you will instantly get 10 more.
